In a remarkable journey from the Asphalt Green Soccer Club (AGSC) fields to the pinnacle of professional soccer, Filip Mirkovic has been drafted by Orlando City FC in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Super Draft. The talented midfielder, who spent his formative years at AGSC before transitioning to the New York City FC (NYCFC) youth academy, has carved a path of excellence through his collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh.

Mirkovic, a standout player for the University of Pittsburgh Men's Soccer Program, has left an indelible mark on the team's history. His impressive career statistics include 28 career assists, the most in Pitt men's soccer history. Additionally, his .34 assists per game rank third best, and his .61 points per game place him at seventh in the program's record books.

Over the course of four seasons at Pitt, Mirkovic started 71 of his 75 matches, proving to be a linchpin in the team's success. His leadership on the field contributed to three consecutive Elite Eight appearances and two College Cups, showcasing his ability to make an impact at the highest collegiate level.

In the 2023 season, Mirkovic continued to shine, leading the Panthers with nine assists. His stellar performance placed him at No. 2 in the ACC and No. 10 in the NCAA. Notably, the nine assists rank fifth most in a single season in Panthers history.
